ZO Skin Health Getting Skin Ready: What Makes Up the Basic System

The logic of GSR

Getting Skin Ready is ZO Skin Health’s foundation of cleanse, exfoliate and tone. The purpose is not to use every product at once, but to select an appropriate option at each step so that later treatment products are applied to clean, comfortable skin.

Gentle Cleanser is the mild default for many skin types. Hydrating Cleanser is better suited to dry, dehydrated or tight-feeling skin. Exfoliating Cleanser is aimed at oilier, congested or blemish-prone skin.

Exfoliation and toning

Exfoliating Polish provides physical exfoliation with fine crystals and should be used according to the label and tolerance, not automatically every day. Calming Toner is the gentler toning option for reactive or easily flushed skin, while Complexion Renewal Pads use salicylic acid for oilier, congested skin.

A pad, polish and active cleanser can add up to too much exfoliation. The system should be adjusted if tightness, burning or persistent redness develops.

What comes next

GSR is the preparation stage, not the entire routine. A targeted Prevent + Correct product, moisturizer when needed and broad-spectrum sunscreen are selected separately. A simple, tolerable version used consistently is preferable to the most intensive version.
